Training : Equine Assisted Learning/Therapy

Level One
  1. An overview of Equine Assisted Learning
  2. Horse Care & first aid
  3. O.H.S relevant to an Equine Assisted Learning facility.
  4. Basic groundwork with horses
  5. Understanding body language/deep listening
  6. Policies & procedures
  7. Horse safe in an Equine assisted Learning facility.
  8. Contemplations. What they are and when to include them in EAL
Level Two
  1. Groupwork
  2. Working in a team
  3. Developing Activities
  4. Ethics in E.A.L
  5. Communication
  6. Mind/body connection
Level Three
  1. Working with youth in E.A.L
  2. Working with children
  3. The role of play
  4. Being an assistant facilitator/ role
  5. The role of the horse person in E.A.L This level involves working with a variety of client groups.

This is the first time you will work with clients. In Level One & Two all activities with clients are simulated/ role play

Level Four
  1. Working as a facilitator
  2. What to do with disclosure/ extended networks for referral
  3. What is involved in program development/ delivery / assessment
